A leak regarding Apple’s next-generation MacBook Pro M4 has surfaced online, with listings appearing on Avito, a popular Russian classified ads website. This comes just before Apple is set to announce its latest models, including the M4 MacBook Pro and the iPad Mini 7, on November 1.
MacBook Pro M4 Specifications
The Avito listing showcased a 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M4 chip, equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Notably, this new model is offered in a Space Black finish, a color previously exclusive to the M3 Pro and M3 Max models.
Price and Availability
The asking price for this yet-to-be-announced MacBook Pro was around 720,000 rubles (approximately ₹6,12,000), significantly higher than existing models. Reports suggest multiple units of the unreleased laptop may have been listed for sale, raising suspicions that they could be stolen from a Chinese warehouse before reaching Russia.
Rumored Release Date
This leak aligns with recent speculation about Apple’s upcoming product launch. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated that Apple is poised to unveil M4-powered Macs by the end of October, with a potential release set for November 1.
This leak is reminiscent of a significant incident in 2010, when an iPhone 4 prototype was accidentally left in a bar in California. Apple has not yet commented on the current leak, and it remains to be seen how the company will address this situation.
Upcoming iPad Mini 7
In addition to the MacBook Pro, Apple is preparing to launch the iPad Mini 7 next month. Rumored to retain the compact 8.3-inch display and overall design of its predecessor, the iPad Mini 7 is expected to feature either the A17 Pro chip from the iPhone 15 Pro or the A18 chip used in the iPhone 16. This would mark a significant upgrade in performance compared to the A15 Bionic found in the current model, as well as enhance its support for Apple Intelligence features.
As anticipation builds for Apple’s November launch, it remains to be seen how these leaks will influence the company’s strategy and product rollout.
